2009 CCME Award
Calstone attended the 2009 Pollution Prevention Awards Dinner Gala during the 13th Canadian Pollution Prevention Roundtable at the Rodd Royalty Inn and Suite Hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on June 15, 2009. Calstone is proud to announce that we were the recipient of the 2009 (CCME) Pollution Prevention Award in the Small Business Category. The awards were presented by Minister John Gerretsen, CCME President and Minister of the Environment for Ontario, and Minister Richard E. Brown, Minister of Environment, Energy and Forestry for Prince Edward Island. It is with great pleasure to be recognized by the Federal Government for our achievements in pollution prevention. Our innovative programs safeguard the environment by reducing the amount of pollutants we release into the Canadian environment. We encourage all our customers to visit our website and read about Calstone’s “green” programs and what we as a company are doing to further reduce our environmental footprint.
The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) is the major intergovernmental forum in Canada for discussion and joint action on environmental issues of national and international concern. It is comprised of environment ministers from the federal, provincial and territorial governments. CCME promotes cooperation on and coordination of interjurisdictional issues such as waste management, air pollution and toxic chemicals. (www.ccme.ca)
